Theo
Travis
Quirky, quietly trippy and deliciously uncategorisable, Travis is as powerful
live solo as with any of his great contemporaries (Soft Machine; Gong; Anja
Garbarek etc.).
"British saxophonist and composer Theo Travis's career on the local jazz
scene may have identified him (for a small but attentive audience) as one of
the UK's most creative and least clone-like of the younger straightahead jazzers
- but there's a lot more to him than that.." - The Guardian.
"Flautist/saxophonist Theo Travis is a strong composer, and his accomplished
writing provides varied and attractive material.." - The Scotsman
Mahood
Latest incarnation from UK's finest performance artists of 25 years - bizarre
conceptual theatre now incorporating live sonic assault.
Walt and Graham formed Mahood in late 2005 after working together in the BET4
Artists collective for over 15 years in performance art, music theatre, dance
and a number of experimental musical projects. Unlike almost any other band
playing in this genre, Mahood incorporate physical performance in their sets
as they create sounds and improvise physical actions as an integral part of
each show. This builds on their long time involvement in music-theatre and live
art events and results in unique performances.
Raagnagrok
London's favorite electric sitar / loops team - hypnotic and seriously heavy
raga rock.
Martin Archer
Exciting new futurist folk from Sheffield's prolific bridger-of-gaps composer-maverick.
