Hession & Hans Peter-Hiby

to raise the stakes in formidable company establish him as a
prime mover in the attempt to inject excitement and power back
into total improvisation" - The Guinness Encyclopeadia

Brotzmann, Parker, Bailey, Squarepusher, Beck and many more.
Reborn exhilerating duo with Wuppertal based full on multi sax

Army
of Briars - Exciting live debut for Folk prog in the classic
British tradition. Martin Archer, Julie Cole, Tim Cole, Keith
Jafrate.
"Tim's
songs are complex and highly musicianly, sitting inside the
wider tradition of pioneering work by greats such as Pentangle,
John Martyn, Nick Drake, and giving me plenty of scope to work
on adventurous arrangements which are centred on dark woodwinds
plus a range of "classic" keyboards such as mellotron,
Fender Rhodes and Hammond organ which hopefully carry both a
allusion to the history of this tradition, plus an occasional
pointer to the future. I managed even to get in the odd bit
of Faust and Stockhausen, though not too much! Of course, all
of this would be meaningless without Julie's fantastically pure
haunting and keening vocal which centres the works, and gives
them the timeless quality we were looking for." - Martin

ParaMusic
Ensemble - Collins, Jasnoch, Head, Hawkins.
The Paramusicensemble (PME) present a live para
musical performance using scratch-built electronic instruments
and sounding devices. An improvisation group, some refer to
them as Experimental Folk, they defy many genres. The quartet
of Charlie Collins (percussion), John Jasnoch (strings), Richard
Head (double-bass monolin) and Scott Hawkins (electrophonics)
are really beyond comparison, explaining "We'd like to
be regarded as Masters of Mesmeric!" and "The only
thing we have in common is that we don't think the same".
Clocking up over 200 years worth of live performance between
them, they are aware that "experience is not a qualification."
PME is unique. An intellectual and emotional roller coaster.
The sounding devices they use, having unusual with compelling
audible and visual qualities. Along with some less frequent
but recogniseable conventional instruments, Lute, Banjolele,
Percussion, the ensemble comprises some very accomplished musicians
who chose to experiment, play and stretch the preconceptions
of music, sound, space and place. "Our live performances
are designed to be physical, making interactions with artefacts,
audience and environment in a location specific way. As a consequence,
individual performances are not repeatable or transferable."
