Avant
metal firestormers Hair Police's origins lie in a cat piss-soaked
Lexington basement adorned with piles or broken and borrowed
musical equipment. Working with traditional rock instrumentation
as well as electronics, tape manipulation, and oscillators,
they build demonic walls of sound for a result reminiscent of
Throbbing Gristle, early Black Dice, Lightning Bolt and Wolf
Eyes.
"The
focus is to play until we pretty much black out. Total destruction.
We are going to kill with the sound. That is the only focus;
sound. Fuck everything else. Everything else is boring. This
is what the Gnarly Times is all about. I just want to freak
out and destroy myself in 20 minutes. I don't want to remember
details from any Hair Police gig."
Expect
grating walls of dense noise and repetitive, pounding rhythms
all-consuming sensory attack that can run from absolute crushing
destruction to subtle beauty at the drop of an axe. Featuring
Mike Connelly of Wolf Eyes - Hair Police build a demonic wall
of sound straddling the boundary between thrash metal and industrial
noise. This is seriously not to be missed stuff!
